At Creswell Clay Target Sports, we play by the National Skeet Shooting Association rules and regulations. Here, you will shoot registered sanctioned targets that are consistent across the country. Because of this, targets are presented in the same manner no matter where the shooting field is. Experienced skeet shooters often rely on muscle memory from years of repetition. One of the best ways to become better at skeet shooting is through practicing regularly.

History of Skeet Shooting

Over 100 years ago a small group of hunters spent their free time shooting clay targets to fine tune their shotgun skills. As time went on and things became more competitive within the group, a set of rules and consistent shots were made to level the playing field for all. As slight modifications to rules were made over the following decades, this small game has turned into one of the most popular shooting games played around the world today.
